Private Island Party Products Key to Success for Bnai Zion Fundraiser Feb. 26

February 20, 2014 -ASTORIA, NY - Masquerade accessories and other items donated by Astoria-based Private Island Party CEO Jonathan Glatt (http://www.privateislandparty.com) will enhance Ahava Unveiled, a masquerade fundraiser for young professionals and the social networking event of the winter, sponsored by the Bnai Zion Foundation (bnaizion.org) on Wednesday, February 26 at 8:30pm at GoldBar in Nolita. Funds raised from the event will benefit Ahava Village for Children & Youth in Kiryat Bialik, Israel, a refuge for abused children removed from dangerous home situations by court order, and one of the five humanitarian projects supported by the organization.

Glatt, who serves on the host committee for Ahava Unveiled, has donated more than 200 masks that range from decorative to highly embellished, to provide attendees with a variety of accessories to expand their ability to have fun during the event.

“Private Island Party is very pleased to provide accessories that will enhance the experience of the attendees. We’re very pleased that Bnai Zion asked us to participate in such a worthy cause.”

Over 200 guests are expected at the event, which promises to be an exciting night. New York’s thriving community of young Jewish professionals will revel in the elegant ambiance and will enjoy award-winning specialty cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and an open bar from 8:30-9:30pm, while supporting an important cause.

“We’re very proud of the important work that Bnai Zion has done for over 100 years, to help important causes in Israel that benefit people in need,” Rebecca Silverstein, Bnai Zion New York director, said. “Ahava Unveiled will further our efforts in Ahava Village, where such tremendous work is done to help abused children and youth.”

Event co-chairs are Miri Frankel and Rebecca Silverstein. Serving on the host committee are Liad Amir, Eran Arkin, Sagi Ashkevitz, Sheeri Avrahami, Jennifer Dockendorf, Ariel Fixler, Alyssa Gammo, Jonathan Glatt, Sivan Hadari, Bari Jaye, Andrew Joseph, Yaara Bank-Plotkin, Ron Oren, Rachel Sabo, Katerin Rodriguez and Seth Weiser.

The open bar will be sponsored by 67 Wine, a family-owned winery that features over 8,000 different kinds of wines and varietals. Holy Schnitzel will provide hors d’oeuvres, and Effie Nagar will provide delicacies from Talia’s Steakhouse on the Upper East Side.

Pre-paid reservations are $50 or $60 at the door, with 100% of the proceeds benefitting Ahava Village.
